I have a Norwood Automatic, Swiss-Made, gold plated watch that I have been trying to research on the net for years but have found nothing on it aside for this here post of yours, so we're both in the same boat you could say. My Norwood is a round, men-s size watch but would not look too big on a lady's wrist. It features two sub-dials. One at the six o'clock position which is the second hand, and another at the 12 o'clock position which is a power indicator that is numbered from 0 to 35 in increments of five (0, 5, 10, 15...etc). I'm assuming this means the amount of hours in stored up energy that the watch has left, however, this dial does not function unfortunately. The rest of the watch works amazingly. For an antique Swiss automatic, that I bought off of a poor old lady at the Port Authority bus terminal in Manhattan for 30 dollars over 15 years ago and never had it cleaned or serviced, it keeps time almost as good as a battery watch. I have several new automatics which lose more time per day than this old Norwood.
I have taken good care of it. I hardly ever wear it, and only on special occasions when I do, so as not to ever abuse it since these watches are irreplaceable and obviously very rare considering that you and I are apparently the only people on the internet to mention the Norwood brand! I would love to see a picture of your watch or at least to read a description of it. My email is greasergeorge@yahoo.co Feel free to write me, and make sure you write something like "Norwood watch topic" in the email subject field so that it catches my eye quicker as I'm browsing through my mailbox. My name is Matthew and I'll be waiting for a response from you. Wear your watch in the best of health, and good luck in your search for particulars regarding it.
Just wondering if you ever found any more infor information on your NORWOOD WATCH .Mine is beautiful and only 7 jewel. Lori

My Norwood Watch by: Dan S.
I have a small Men's Norwood watch and the face is squarish with bowed sides. Today, it would be more the size of a ladies watch. It has a gold-plated case, with stainless steel back. A sub-dial at 6 o'clock holds the second hand, and it still runs well today. The 'crystal' is plastic, so it is probably ca. 1940's due to the size of the watch. I have also researched the brand to no avail, other than to find occasional mention such a this discussion.

Norwood 7 jewel woman's pendant watch - gold plate with pearl accentsNEW by: Karen
My mother had a pendant watch, Norwood 7 jewel gold-tone with 15 either simulated or perhaps real (?) tiny pearls. I assume the pearls are simulated. Anyway, the design is like a fancy flame upward with the right side "tip" extending up farther than the left upper tip. Any info also would be appreciated in identifying this brand and level of production - perhaps a timeframe of production or distribution. It still works fine. Swiss made - Norwood - anti-shock - no other markings that I can see.
