The Citizen Eco-Drive Skyhawk Collection is one of the all-time most popular collections of Citizen watches. There are currently seven models in the Skyhawk collection.
Two models commemorate the US Navy's Blue Angels elite fighter demonstration squadron. These two watches are highlighted with the official Blue Angels blue and yellow colors on the dial and bezel. In addition, they feature the official Blue Angels insignia on the caseback.
All seven models feature analog and digital displays. There are luminous analog hour, minute and second hands and three analog sub-dials indicating the 24 hour UTC time, current display mode and 24 hour chronograph. They are rated at 100 meter water resistant and have a screw down case.
The Skyhawk watches are ideal for those who are traveling to different time zones on a regular basis. The World Time Perpetual Calendar keeps track of the current time in 30 cities over 22 different time zones.
You can change the analog time with the touch of a button. For example, if you are traveling from New York to London you can simply scroll through the digital world time zones until the London time zone is displayed. Then, with a press of the button, the analog display will change to London time! In addition, there are three separate world time alarms that can be independently set.
The rotating slide rule bezel can be used to quickly calculate a myriad of nautical equations as well as serve as a simple calculator. If you have really good eyesight, you will be able to use the slide rule. However, for those of you who are like me and on the backside of 40 years old, the numbers on the rings are too small to make it practical.
These watches have so many features that Citizen actually includes a mini CD-ROM that has interactive instructions with voice narration to show you how to use each specific feature.
