I'm trying to identify and date a seiko watch

Hi,
I am the owner of a beaufiful \seiko watch, probably from the 1950's or 1960's.
The details on the back of the case are as follows :-

SEIKO
water resistant
461927
JAPAN - 8

Stainless Steel 7005 - 8199

The Face of the watch is a very vivid blue and says SEIKO automatic, 17 Jewels.
The watch also has a date indicater ( calandar )

Any information you can give, will be very much appreciated.
