Invicta Pro Diver Swiss Quartz

I recently purchased an Invicta Pro Diver Swiss Quartz Model # 5368. This watch is "water Resistant" to 100 meters. I am not a diver, and my question is this: If I wash my hands with the watch on my wrist, will I do it any harm. In other words, how much immersion in water will it stand before the movement is ruined?

100 meters according to invicta is 330 ft. Some divers bceause of installed gaskets at the crown do not require or cannot be screwed down. Generally on the watch somewhere in the back or in the book it will tell you about the equivilent of the meters to feet.

You won't do your watch any harm, however you have to make sure that the crown is screwed in tightly, or else the watch can get water inside, which is a mess you dont want to deal with. I have had mine to 100 feet and it has done just fine.

Water Resistance

Water resistance pressure ratings are for an immobile watch in dead still water. Moving your watch through water such as swimming with it on creates pressure levels that approach many meters of depth. But washing your hands with a watch rated 100 or 200 Meters is completely safe as would be swimming or diving at reasonable depths even with a lot of movement through the water. No one dives to 200 meters anyway. And try not to wash your hands with a fire hose.
