My watch wasn't keeping time...

by Vickie Carliles-Keith

I didn't know that I should keep the watch exposed to sunlight on a regular basis. I have had the watch for 3 years, it is gorgeous. I saw the commercial and saw that it stated that the Echo drive was powered by solar power and I got my watch out and sat in in the sunlight, low and behold it started working, it only lasted for a few hours. How long do you think it will take for the watch to recharge itself?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Please email me at vcarlileskeith@yahoo.com. Thank you!!!

Hello.

As a rule of thumb though, leaving it in direct sunlight for a day should fully charge the watch.

If it is a newer model (likely if you only bought it 3 years ago) then the length of time the watch stores a charge will vary from minimum 6 months up to 5 years - again, depends on your watch model. However if you are wearing the watch every day this charge should be continually topped up so you would not have to set time aside to "charge" it... When I'm not wearing my Eco-Drive watches, I just leave them on top of the dresser in my room - that way the natural OR artificial light in the room will top up the charge.

Hope this helps!
