Noisy Co-axial Omega Seamaster

Hi,
I have recently bought an omega seamaster co-axial chronometer. It seems to rattle when i hold it to my ear and shake it. My brother, who has a self winding Tag says it is normal but a friend also has an omega that doesn't make this sound and he is sure his is the co-axial also.
Need I be concerned?
Regards,

Tim:

The Omega Co-Axial Escapement would probably in fact be making some noise as that is the nature of an automatic movement. There is a little video showing the inner workings of the Co-Axial Escapement on the Omega website. Here is a link if you want to see it:

Omega Co-Axial Escapement Technology
(click on the link at the top of the page that says "How It Works")

One other thing you might want to consider - there are a lot of counterfeit Omega Co-Axial watches in the marketplace and some of them are actually quartz watches, which would not be making any noise. If you are not buying an Omega from an authorized dealer (which are not allowed to sell Omega watches online), then it can be very difficult to tell whether or not the watch is genuine. Hope that helps.
