i have omega fob watch made 1882 not sure of metal gold coloured heavy with on the outer rim the numbers 1to 12 to co inside with the clock face about inch and half diameter nay ideas of value pleae help

I have the exact same thing, bought it from a street vendor in Bangkok for about $3 US in 2010.
I think I paid too much for it, only runs for 20 seconds at a time.

I also have one of these with a picture on the reverse side of a lady holding a lyre instrument also a cherub on her lap. does anyone else have the same picture? Going to get mine checked although cannot see where you open this one.

also have one of these, a very pretty object i just learned was not omega (didn't buy it for its brand anyway, but because i had never seen such an object - i was in a chinese junk sale in beijing, ages ago!) Anyone know the history of these little marbles and why they got imitated in China or around there, and when?

17 jewels? i got a big one in mint condition, it has 17 jewels in it too. its worth mad ducks.

I have the same watch as you but it is missing the cradle and only has one chain. My sciece teacher identified it and said it was made in 1882 and had 17 jewels in it. Its worth about $2000 to $4000 dolars in US currency.

Hi
I bought one of these fob watches yesterday at a car boot sale.

I took it to a vintage watch shop in Lymington (UK), and they confirmed it to be a "fake!" They said they mechanical movement would have Omega stamped on the movement. They said the movement inside is a "respectable" one but not as good as Omega make, so I'm guessing yours will be the same, as they were probably made by the same people, out in the "Far East."

I still like it and have made a hook stand to hang it from so I can see the time or the movement working away.
