Omega Speedmaster Moon Phase Watches

In case you haven't guessed by now, the Omega Speedmaster Moon Phase watch features a sub-dial that indicates the current phase of the moon. This model features the Omega 1866 manual winding chronograph movement (except for the special edition model - more on that below), 48 hour power reserve, scratch- resistant and anti-reflective crystal, Chronograph, four sub-dials, moon phase, tachymeter and water resistance to 30 meters.

There are four standard variations of this model with choices similar to the other Omega Speedmasters. Model number 3689.30.31 features a white gold case, silver dial and black leather bracelet.

Model 3876.50.31 (left picture) features a stainless steel case, black dial and black leather strap. Model 3576.50.00 is equipped with a stainless steel case and bracelet and black dial. Finally, the 3575.20.00 comes with a stainless steel case and bracelet with a white dial. There is also an older version that is not listed by them anymore with a silver dial (3575.30.00).

Then, there is the special edition Omega Mens Speedmaster 3688.30.32 Watch with a see-through skeleton dial and solid platinum case. This model is powered by the Omega 3604 movement, which is also a manual winding chronograph. There were only 57 copies made. List price is $47,300 (That's more than I paid for my first house!) If you absolutely have to have this one, you can save about twelve thousand dollars by getting it from Amazon.com, as long as you are willing to wait a month or two for the dealer to track one down for you.

There is no such thing as an "Omega Speedmaster Professional Moon Phase". For some reason folks get the different Sppedmaster collections confused. The Omega Speedmaster Professional collection is entirely different and none of them display the phases of the Moon. I believe the confusion comes from the fact that the "Moon watch" was a Speedmaster.
