I am not the expert in pricing of Rolex watches but do have a pretty good feel for the overall market. I checked out the current models on the Rolex website and don't even see one that has ruby hour markers anymore. So, you are either looking for an older model that is out of production or you may have seen a replica that was a variation on a theme.
If you are going to buy from an online dealer, make sure they have an excellent reputation - as you just about found out the hard way! I have several suggestions for you.
One, go to one of the following stores and see what they have to offer and what price range you are looking at. These are all outstanding dealers that have an excellent reputation.
