Last week I was working on adding a category for watch winders on this site. As usual, while doing research for the first article, I visited hundreds of websites. Unfortunately, most of them seem to be absolutely worthless - offering no useful content or information whatsoever. So when I find a site that is "real", written for real live people by real live people and reflects the personality of its owners, it is like a breath of fresh air! That is what I found at WatchCases.com.
The President of Watchcases.com, Donald Geib, has done an extremely good job of taking the mystery out of the watch winder buying process. There is an article on WatchCases.com entitled "How to Choose an Automatic Watch Winder". It is very comprehensive. I can assure you that after you read the article you will know everything you need to know to make a wise watch winder buying decision. And once you decide, you will find that the selection of watch winders on WatchCases.com is better than any other website. But it doesn't stop there.
I love the quote that Donald has on his site - "A truly fine timepiece is attractive, easy-to-use and accessible. An exceptional online store is the same." WatchCases.com has achieved this status. The number one complaint that shoppers have about online shopping is poor customer service - don't get me started! I don't have to tell you how frustrating it is to call a merchant and not be able to talk to someone or when I do, they can't even begin to answer my question. You won't find this to be a problem with Donald and the folks at WatchCases.com. They have a five-star overall rating from Yahoo Shopping. Here is a sample of what their customers have to say about their shopping experience:
My experience with Watchcases.com was outstanding. My winder was exactly as described and the customer service was above and beyond. I look forward to purchasing from them in the future.
It doesn't get any better than that folks and there are over eighty more five star ratings from other satisfied customers.
You will find a wide selection of watch winders to choose from at WatchCases.com. The three brands they recommend are Eilux, Orbita and Buben & Zorweg. They also carry watch winders from Rapport, Venlo and Wolf Designs. If you have some knowledge of watch winders you may note that they do not carry some other popular brand names such as Underwood watch winders, Steinhausen and a few others. If you want to find out why, be sure to read the entire "How to Choose an Automatic Watch Winder" article. It is well worth your time.
One final disclaimer before we wrap up this article. We are not getting any form of compensation or incentive for writing this endorsement. I did tell Donald that I would be writing this article and I have given him permission to put a link on his site. That's it for now. I'm off to research another exciting watch related topic. I have some things bouncing around in my head on atomic time watches - after following a rather lengthy thread on a watch discussion group. Stay tuned!
