what difference does 'Geneve' mean on a vintage gents omega seamaster?
by Sue Williamson
(England)
I have an Omega Geneve Seamaster watch, totally original from 1960's which belonged to my late father. Omega leather strap and buckle. It has original inner and outer box together with the purchase papers (Canterbury, England). I have no knowledge of watches but I know it is valuable. It has not been worn for 25 years but is in good order having been recently checked and cleaned by a reputable watch repairer locally who admired it very much.
I have noticed on auction sites that some Seamasters have Geneve and some not - what is the significance of this please?
Look forward to hearing from anyone who can help at suewilliamson@live.com.
Thanks
