The Wristwatch Annual 2007 is now available! I got an e-mail from Amazon.com last week notifying me that it could be pre-ordered and I placed my order right away. Yesterday, I got a confirmation that it has been shipped. I am a big fan of the Wristwatch Annual. It is hard to find a resource that provides so much information for such a reasonable price. I now have every single volume all the way back to 2003.
I get this each year but if you get the 2007 issue, I would not necessarily recommend you get back issues unless you are a really avid watch enthusiast. There is lots of repetition from year to year. I keep the back issues handy in case I need to do some research on limited edition models or specific models for the year in which they were released.
Every year watch manufacturers from around the world introduce hundreds of new designs. They are constantly raising the bar in watch design, technology and improvements. Perhaps the most exciting development of the past few years has been the innovation on an "old" theme with the increased popularity and appreciation for mechanical and limited edition watches.
New manufacturers are also stepping into the ring, bringing with them a fresh breath of air in design concepts as well as advances in technology, which keeps things exciting for avid watch collectors. This book is getting extremely popular and is already about to break into the top 1,000 list at Amazon.com. The Wristwatch Annual 2007 features over 1,700 of the finest wristwatches in the world, featuring color photographs and detailed specifications for each watch.
This is one of the best sources today for having a wealth of watch information at your fingertips. The photographs are stunning and the alphabetical layout by manufacturer provides convenience in finding what you are looking for. Over 100 different watch manufacturers are featured in the Wristwatch Annual 2007. I think one of my life goals will be to own at least one watch from every single one!
